New Head Boys Volleyball Coach

Coach Cary has grown up with volleyball.  He began playing in high school and has continued as an adult, both indoors and outdoors.  He began his coaching career in volleyball in 1998 and has coached multiple levels including middle school, USAV club, and high school.  He enjoyed great success as the head coach for both the girls program and the boys program at Mountain Vista where his teams had multiple state tournament appearances and was awarded the Continental League coach of the year three times.

Coach Cary was a voting member of the Colorado Boys High School Volleyball Association and helped the charge early on speaking with various leagues around the metro area and CHSAA to get it sanctioned.  He started the boys program at MVHS in their second year open and continued coaching there 11 years before moving to administration.  He is very excited to see the sport grow in Colorado and become part of the CHSAA organization.

Coach Cary has been in education in Douglas County since 1998, as a Spanish teacher, dean, Assistant Principal and a coach for multiple sports.  He resides in the Rock Canyon feeder area and bleeds Black & Gold, as well as his family.  His wife and two daughters are also involved with volleyball, currently at RCHS and RHMS and enjoy being Jags and Future Jags.
