2026 boys golf tryouts will be Aug 3rd and Aug 4th.

If you are new to the team you MUST reach out to Coach Ron rsaul@dcsdk12.org before signing up for tryouts and registering. 

Registrations for golf will open around the third week in July. It’s a short turn-a-round from getting registered/cleared by the athletic office to actual tryouts. If you don’t have a current physical it’s important to get it done before July 27th or you won’t be able to tryout.

Here are the steps that need to be completed before tryouts once registration opens:

• If you haven’t already, send your intention to tryout to rsaul@dcsdk12.org before July 15th so we can communicate and schedule a tryout day/tee time for you.
• After contacting coach you can pay the tryout fee on MSB (available after July 6th). 
• Read and follow the registration steps on the school site

• Upload your current physical.
• After July 6th pay the tryout fee thru MSB.
• You have to cleared by the athlete office, NO EXEMPTIONS. Keep in mind that all student athletes are registering for fall sports at the same time, the athletic office has to clear everyone at the same time. You must have all steps done by July 27th to be cleared in time. The school doesn’t make any exceptions due to liability concerns.
• If you tryout and don’t make the team you will be refunded your DCSD athletic fee. If you pay for both days of tryouts but don’t make the first cut, half the tryout fee will be refunded.

If you don’t make the RC team we also have other outside programs for golfers during the fall. Details will be sent after tryouts.

We also have summer programs run by coaches through Golf Rocky Mountain to help prepare you for tryouts, that include golf camps, 18-hole and 9-hole tournaments. If interested please reach out to Coach Ron.

For those that don’t make the team through tryouts, we do try to organize an outside developmental team for less experienced golfers. Please reach out to Coach Ron if you feel that is the team that is best suited for your golf development as we encourage players that have a passion for the game to grow and learn.
