Dear Parents and Swimmers,
Congratulations to our girls on a very successful meet in Loveland — we are Champions, finishing 1st place out of 10 teams! We had many individual best times at this meet, and most importantly, we had a lot of fun together as a team.
The hard work the girls are putting in is already starting to pay off. We will continue to emphasize strong technique while adding some tougher sets to build and maintain endurance. The team has been doing a great job showing up ready to work, and it’s exciting to see their effort translating into results.
This week we have a meet against Chaparral on Thursday 1/15/26 this meet will be held at Grandview High school

Thank you for supporting our Seniors at our meet on Tuesday. These girls have been such a wonderful part of our swim family over the last four years, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they go on to accomplish.

Over the next few weeks, there will be some blackout days when we cannot hold practice. If your swimmer is in town, it’s important that they attend the practice days we do have available.
Looking ahead, we have the Craven Classic on January 2nd. This will be a daytime meet, but the exact time has not been set yet. I need entries for this invite-style meet by Monday, December 22nd. Swimmers may choose two individual events they would like to compete in. Please let me know if your swimmer will be out of town and unable to attend. Divers will have a meet on January 3rd at Creek.

Dear Parents and Swimmers,
Coach Val and I have been seeing some excellent work at practice this past week! The girls are getting into a great rhythm and are really starting to push themselves every day. We’ve been reminding them how important it is to stay consistent with their training and avoid missing practices whenever possible. They are in great shape right now and improving daily; taking time off can create a setback.
We’ve also emphasized that it is their responsibility to communicate with us if they need to miss a practice or a meet, and to let us know the reason.
Next week we have a special Senior Meet. All week we have told the girls that if they cannot attend, they must let me know in writing by the end of the day on Friday, December 12th. Please note that missing the meet to study for finals will not be accepted as an excuse—there has been plenty of notice, and we would love to have as many swimmers as possible there to support our wonderful seniors.
One last reminder: we will be rescheduling the holiday party. Next week was too difficult for many swimmers, so we will plan a team party and gift exchange in January.

- We will be celebrating the Seniors during the meet. We will start with a ceremony for them at 2:45, we would love for as many swimmers to be there to support their teammates

- Our divers will compete against Legend at 7:00 PM at Littleton (warm-ups at 6:00). Attendance is not required for swimmers, but they are welcome to come support the divers if they are available.

- Doors open 6:30am, Warm ups 7am, Prelims start 8:30

What a great first meet of the season! So proud of the girls for supporting their teammates and being good sports towards Thunder Ridge. Thank you to all the parents for helping with the meet yesterday between set up, timing, cleaning up and being there to cheer on the swimmers. Results from yesterday are up on the website. We have a few busy days coming up so wanted to touch base with everyone.
- Thursday December 4th, team pictures at Northridge during our practice at 7 girls can come a few minutes early to start taking individual photos

- We warm up at 2pm, for the girls entered in the meet they will be excused from school at 1:10 to get to Littleton and be ready for warm ups at 2. Meet starts at 3:30
- This meet does charge admissions
- $7 – Adults
$5 – Children
FREE – Children under 6, Seniors over 65
Please enter through the south-facing entrance, marked “POOL ENTRANCE”
- There will be concessions throughout the meet for athletes and spectators. Also I encourage the girls to bring some healthy snacks and plenty of water!
- This is a prelim/final meet in each event they will take the top 18 finishers, including at least one swimmer from each school, with no more than 3 swimmers per school in each final on Saturday
- The swimmers will be sitting in the gym so bring blankets and extra towels to stay warm
- This is a longer meet so if swimmers need to leave after they are done swimming before the end of the meet they may do so after they check in with me, but as always we love when they can stay and cheer for each other. The current timeline has us finishing around 8pm
- Saturday December 6th Diving and Finals
- Diving warm ups at 7:30am, meet starts at 9
- Swim warms ups at 11:30, meet starts at 1
- Watching finals together as a team to support our finalists is great but I understand if girls have other commitments on Saturday and cannot make it

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Jaguars swimmers and parents, I am so thankful to be able to coach such a wonderful group of young ladies. We had a nice group of swimmers in town for the holiday and got some good practice in. The girls have been doing a great job communicating with me about practice and meets, please remember I will enter everyone in our meets unless they have previously told me they will not be able to attend. Our Jaguars rocked the first week of tryouts and practice, everyone worked together to make this a successful first week. We loved seeing the energy back at the pool. Things will move fast now that the official season has started! Thank you to the Seniors for hosting a wonderful team breakfast and to the O’Mearas for opening their home. I will do my best to keep our swim and dive website up to date with any new information. Welcome to the girls swim and dive 25-26 season! I am so excited to start camp next week. Here is some important information as we are getting started soon. Please keep checking our website for any updates.
- Registration is now OPEN! Everyone needs to be fully registered before they can participate in regular season practices starting November 17th.

- Please pay both required swim team fees on my school bucks
- Registration Fee $200
- Additional Swim Team Fee $275
- Sign up for swim camp if you would like some time to get in the water before tryouts the first week of practice.This is a great opportunity for girls who are not currently on a USA club team. Sign up on My School Bucks, Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday @Westridge Rec center 3:30-4:30 and Friday @Eastridge Rec center 3:30-4:30.
- RCHS Girls Preseason Swim Camp
- Orders for all gear are due Next Tuesday October 28th. Girls will need a Rock Canyon Swim suit and Cap, the other clothes are optional. I would also like practices for girls to have a pair of fins to use during the season. If you missed the preseason meeting and need to try on a suit for size you can go to Out of Breath sports to try one on.
- Swim Team Store
- Registration for winter sports opens next Monday the 27th on the Rock Canyon Athletics page. Girls will need to be fully registered before they can participate in the first official week of practice November 17th. That includes a current physical, paying the registration fee and the additional team fee of $275, This fee helps cover the cost of the following: Pool rental fees, meet fees, officials, swim team equipment, team dinner, League championship surprises, senior ceremony, holiday party, banquet costs and other surprises along the way, that will be on My School Bucks.
- USA club swimmers please email coach Jenny your best times to help with meet events and Coaches Invite Qualification time.
- With having such a large team I still need some parents help to make this season the best it can be for our swimmers! If you are interested in helping our team I will need a few parents to help plan the banquet, we will keep it similar to the last few years so just need some parents to help with setting that up. Help with setting up our senior night at our Home meet on December 16th! We are in need of a parent to help run the computer at our 2 home meets, this year you would be shadowing Jackie Sivahop. We will also need timers at our 2 home meets as well. Many hand make light work if you are available to help with some of these needs please let me know!

Hi Rock Canyon Swim Families,
I’m so excited to step in as the new Head Coach for the Rock Canyon Girls Swim Team! Many of you already know me—I’ve been an assistant with the team for the past 15 years and have loved every season with this amazing group of athletes.
A little about me:
- I’ve coached with Rock Canyon and Wildcat Ridge Tigersharks, I currently work at SwimLabs teaching all ages learn to swim and competitive swim lessons.
- I grew up swimming summer league, swam at Highlands Ranch HS and the University of Northern Colorado, and now swim with Highlands Ranch Masters.
- At home, I’ve been married to my husband Justin for 20 years and we have three kids—Emerson (senior), Eleanor (sophomore), and Charlie (8th grade).
I can’t wait for the season ahead and to keep building on the strong, supportive team culture we already have.
